‘Democracy’ manipulated by the guns of anti-communist generals

The High Command of the Armed Forces was the responsible by the explicit coup d’État threat towards the Supreme Federal Court, in 2018. At that time, the threat, a statement of the erstwhile commander of the force, general Eduardo Villas Boas, via Twitter, was fundamental for chicken out the minister Rosa Weber who modified her vote concerning Luuiz Inácio’s Habeas Corpus,  maintaining him in prison against the constitutional precepts.

The revelation came from Villas Boas himself in the book “General Villas Boas: a conversation with the commander”, launched by the FGV printing house. According to the reactionary military the message had been written by several hands by the High Coomand generals. It showed that the Army “maintain an eye on its institutional mission”.

“The text had a draft elaborated by my staff and members of the HighCommand, in Brasilia. The next day of the expedition we forwarded it to the military commanders in the area. I received sugestions, elaborated the final text, that took us the whole expedient, up to 8 pm, when I released it for the Sector of Comunication of the Army for the expedition”, he admitted.

The teor of the text affirms that the Army “maintains an eye on its international missions”, is criminal. From Hamilton Mourão’s verve, qualified by Villas Boas as a “great soldier”, comes the interpretation according to which one of the Armed Forces’ mission – according to the art. 142 of the Constitution – would be the “defense of the Motherland, the guarantee of the constitutional powers and, by initiative of any of them, the law and order”, that is, the permission for a military coup under those conditions.

Villas Boas, in the book, also relates that the motivation for the publishing was “to avoid social convulsion” and respond to the requests of military intervention that swarms in the reactionary public opinion.

Besides a scandalous  threat of military coup, the act is absolutely ilegal and criminal, regardless of its contents, for, according to the decree 4346, 2002, it is forbidden that the military chiefs give opinion on the political process without any previous authorization.

Admission of a coup and the military right –wing plan

As AND has previously denounced and analysed abundantly, in addition to being explicitly mentioned in the admission of a former coup commander, there is a process of preventive counter-revolutionary military coup d’État to the inevitable raising of the masses,  against the unique increment of the political- military and economic oppression.

Such a counter-revolutionary offensive started with “Lava Jato” operation, centralized by a determined sector of the reactionary Armed Forces. As we denounced in an AND Editorial 205, March 2018: “Since the beginning of ‘Lava Jato’ we have been affirming the action of a ‘hidden hand’ handling the anti-corruption campaign, with the immediate aim to clean the façade of the main institutions of the State, worn and demoralized before the public opinion, to save their system of a complete rejection by the people, as a growing electoral abstention ( besides the white and null votes) certifies, transforming it in an open subversion. Such a handling operated by the Public Prosecutors and Judiciary, secretely centralized by the High Command of the Armed Fordes section, is inspired by the Yankee Embassy and counting on the trumpets of the Globo Net”.
