The euphoria of the unburied political corpse Michel Temer gang about a supposed economy restoration suffered a “cold water bath”1 with the publishing of the GDP 0,1% growth by the Central Bank. The big talker Henrique Meirelles and his acquaitances of the market expected 0,3%. Even though they kept thevanity persisting in the joke of economy restoration when the three trimester results shown respectively 1,3%, 0,7% and 0,1%. As one can see, the economy is growing like horse tail: downwards.
Sweetening the pill
It is well known that such results were forged on initiatives like FGTS (Employment Time Guarantee Fund) fund liberation, autos and commodities exportation. From the point of view of the people, mostly the poorest, hell is presented at the one hand in the form of unemployment, underemployment and the excessive violence of the repressive apparatus of the old State and in the other hand by the vertiginous growth of delinquency in the countryside and in the city, the low quality and lack of health service, education, transportation, security and the growing homing deficit. Nothing matches the baluartism2 of Meirelles´ fraud.
The heralded unemployment rate reduction is forged due to including in official data the informal work and hiring under the new work laws in which the worker – be it temporary or intermittent – will get the value of the hunger wage registered in their papers.
Malaise to Social Security
The media monopoly, with its economists paid to lie shamelessly, opens its means to purely speculative projections, increasing blackmail, affirming that the return to economic growth depends on the “reform of the Social Security”, as means to make its wish come true. And so there is the attack Meirelles wants to make against Social Security.
Meirelles and Temer focused on the social security aiming to take the resources from this true gold mine to serve the international banks. Shamelessly they robbed the Treasury to sponsor a millionaire campaign – together with the media monopolies – to delude the people by spreading untruth gossip against the public servants and hiding information about the funding sources. All this with the purpose to sell cats as hares.
The Union of Audit Inspectors (Sindfisco) revealed, in a technical note from September 2010, the composition of the revenue of the social security: “in detail, the sources of defrayal for the expenses of social security are as follows:
• Contributions of the employers and workers for the Social Security – INSS, referred on the payroll;
• Contributions for the Financing of Social Security (COFINS), referred on the budget and earnings of the companies;
• Social Contributions over the Profit of Legal Entities (CSLL), referred on the profits of companies;
• Budget of prognostic of contests;
• From the importer of foreign goods or services”.
Both Sinfisco and the CPI of Social Security in the Deputy Chamber shows the falsity of the thesis about a scarce Social Security. They show that the deficit is made by the contingency of the budget, caused by favoring through tax waiver and leniency with big obligors, among other things.
Two-face
While the media monopoly earns “rivers” of money do defend the purposes of Temer and Meirelles about the fantasy of returning to economic growth, some of their economists “hit one in the nail and one in the horseshoe”3 because they already see the impossibility of such return in short or medium term, as announced by the gang.
In the Folha de S. Paulo newspaper issue of September 7th, the journalist Vinicius Torres Freire, when referring that the people don’t see improving in the situation he affirms: “despite being slow, almost stopping, the recovery is bitter to the modest people”. And summarize his text declaring that “the economic recovery policy go much beyond the measure of the GDP. The situation is still hampered”.
The writer Laura Carvalho, in the same issue, when comparing the three big recessions since 1984 until 2017, wrote an article entitled Recovery of economy will be the slowest in history. Analysing the data of the two previous recessions, the writer concludes that “For the recovery to be concluded, in seven semesters like in the 1981-83 and 1889-92 recessions, the economy would have to grow 6,6% in one year”. As one can see, very far from the 0,8% foreseen for this year.
Semicolonial condition
Brazil has no way out in short term. We can affirm that, if the semicolonial condition is maintained, there is no formula that makes the country offer its people a dignified and prosperous life. It is extremely necessary to unmask this bureaucratic capitalism, guaranteed in the semicolonial and semifeudal condition, by preparing the revolution that ends the latifundium and the big bourgeoisie (comprator and bureaucratic fractions) domination and put down the national subjugation to imperialism, mainly Yankee.
It is not exaggeration to affirm that only a Democratic, Agrarian and Anti-imperialist Revolution uninterrupted to Socialism could build the New Brazil.
1 Brazilian expression which means a kind of disappointment, when expectations are not met due to something.
2 Brazilian expression that means to overestimate one´s own forces.
3 Brazilian expression that means to hit in one way and soothe in another.
