Happy people are people who struggle

On the turning of the year, the wishes for a ‘Happy New Year’ were done by most of the people as sincere ones. Other persons did it as a cliché, with no convinction at all.

The réveillon feast, public or private, lost spontaneity and effusion. How can a tattered society with rotten ruling classes, increase of repression and killing of the poor people by the old State as well as enlargement of delinquency,  demonstrate happiness celebrating the New Years’s Eve when one cannot but believe that  it will be exactly the same one?

The public feasts, sponsored by the public money for fireworks, bands and singers, besides the superfluos expenditure for atracting sex tourists, have  displayed an artificial beer-stimulated happiness.

Even the media that used to put such events into superlative, spreading out previsions and statistics which were created for stimulating false hopes did not succeed in getting the necessary enthusiasm.

Humiliation

How to cheer up more than 15 million unemployed or underemployed people, humiliated before their families and suffering the consumerist propaganda? Such an answer was given by the composer and singer Gonzaguinha: “A man humiliates himself/If they castrate his dream /His dream is his life/ And life is work / Without his work /Man does not have honour anymore /And without his honour/He dies, he kills/ It is not posssible to be happy/ It is not possible to be happy”(A Man can also cry).

It is not possible to be happy either without work or without salary as it has happened with the state public officers from Rio Grande do Norte but also in many other Brazilian states and in hundreds, maybe thousands, of city halls all over the country.

It is impossible and an illusion to find happiness in a father or mother whose New Year’s Eve was spent at a long queue of a public school trying to register his/her children, or the mother and relatives who lost their beloved ones by a stray bullet or killed by the murderer State police. Let alone a person in a corridor in a public hospital, dying with pains with no help at all.

As Luiz Gonzaga and Zé Dantas composed: “An alms, mylord, for a sound man, either kills he in shame or corrupts the citizen”. We can see in the cities the street dwellers subjected to the philantropic hypocrisy of the so-called “Christmas without hunger”. Such a thing can only happen in a “Country of the Wonders” under Temer’s gang and some others as well.

In fact, the production of unhappiness is performed wholesale and in an omnimode way by the old State of the reactionary classes. It has been three years that the New Year’s feast has been marked by rebellions in prisons in differente states with more than 720 thousand prisoners in real dungeons. Prisoners that can only improve such living conditionsby rebelling violently to try to open the ruling classes eyes and their rotten State for the crimes they commit. This is the réveillon of the miserable people.

Hot weapon

With the song: “Comments on John”, the composer and singer Belchior stated that “happiness is a hot weapon”, that is, people who do not fight do not have the right to happiness, for the desired peace can only be achieved with struggle and much struggle.

A strong example of it are the peasants of Pau d’Arco, Pará, who, after having been defeated, showed that for the people there is not a definite overcome, and have occupied again the area pushing the old State – through the National Institute for Colonization and Agrarian Reform (Incra) – to recognize their right on land and liberating Santa Lucia farm.

Many suffer the struggle violence by the old genocide State – killer of the poor people in the countryside and in the city, creator of the reactionary civil war against the masses – however they do not understand that only through the revolutionary violence against the State and its tentacles it will be possible to finish their tragedy. When we attend people’s protests, everytime more violent before a putrefact political system with their demoralized authorities, we can find out that a revolutionary situation has been developed. The mobilized masses in waves, little by little, start condensing new grasping and growing understanding that only by fighting people can accomplish their happiness. Despite not having reached immediately their aims, the people are happy and know the future for those who come later will be a bright one.

The understanding that for a revolution to happen, the organized masses must besides using the violence build up their revolutionary leadership, in essence and form, a true Communist Party, is becoming bigger in the hearts and minds of the exploited and opressed people in the countryside and in the cities of the whole country.
