The year of 2018 started under the specter of the 2017 polls which pointed out Luiz Ináciuo and Jair Bolsonaro as probable candidates for the second shift of the electoral farse planned for October this year.

The media monopolies, responsible for the formulation of the polls, work with the repeated message they both are the ideological extremes represented in the electoral circus. Luiz Inácio on the left and Bolsonaro on the right.

On the other hand, the media, in accordance with the ‘market’ dictates, tries in a desperate way to inflate a candidacy to satisfy their appetite. So far all the pretenders are fighting in the polls and not reaching two digitals.

Alkmin, Rodrigo Maia and Henrique Meirelles have been bowing to the ‘market’ which demands the candidates ‘the Social Security reform’. Maia and Meirelles’s dispute on this question for the PEC defeat, in the Second Chamber, would certainly take them out of the running match. 

Between these two blocks are the candidacy projects for placing  as alternatives of a block or the other. They are: Ciro Gomes, Marina Silva, João Dória, Manuela D’Ávila, Álvaro Dias, João Amoedo, Guilherme Boulos and Fernando Collor.

So far, as one can expect, there is nothing new. They are clowns insisting on occupying the circus-ring while the circus is set on fire.

The ‘Lava Jato’ swamp

Created to look like a sort of cleanliness for the rotten electoral Brazilian system, searching for recovering legitimacy, Lava Jato Operation has been engulfed by this rotten system and its tentacles in the several institutions of the old State. Those tentacles are the Federal Police, the Republic’s General Attorney, all instances of  the Judicial Court, let alone Congress and Presidency of Republic and ministers, gangs of different kinds. It has not been difficult to take Lava Jato to the swamp as this is a system that ‘has always been like that’ as expressed by the PP federal deputy, Pedro Corrêa, who has been declared guilty in ‘mensalão’ and ‘Lava Jato’.

The show promoted by the Federal Police with half a dozen agents taking cufflinked the former Rio de Janeiro’s governor, Sérgio Cabral, is nothing more than a play-acting for impressing the incautious persons. The Federal Police, now under new direction, the Republic’s General Attorney and the Federal Court of Justice  are part of the gearings. They are not above the law nor below the law but in the  groups of power that constitute the struggling and collusion forces inside the old State – they are the law.

Single Party

When we affirm that so far there is nothing new, we refer to the fact that the acronyms in dispute have in their statutes an invisible clause; the one for national subjugation, imposed by imperialism as a stony one for those who want to reach the management of the old Brazilian State. It is such a clause which, independently of its speech, places the acronym inside the Single Party.

The reader can, in accordante with the Single Party existence, assume from the recent history in which the main acronyms of the electoral spcter have paraded, through the management of the old State that, with the exception of some adornments, they have followed in essence the same programme imposed by IMF, rendering accounts to the White House for applying it.

José Sarney has taken over the old State as a saviour and handed it over to Fernando Collor who as a saviour as well and again handed it over wrapped in a deeper crisis to Itamar Franco and Fernando Henrique Cardoso. Thenceforward, it was set up the Plano Real for drawing Brasil off the crisis and, at the end of the management, they handed it over to Luiz Inácio, the country under a still deepest currency crisis. Luiz Inácio, after fourteen years of PT government plus his class conciliation policy, has left it to his colleague and gangster, Temer, after Dilma’s impeachement. He was able to extrapolate the economic crisis for the  highest stages of politics, moral and ethics.

We cannot forget that in all the management of those acronyms the imperialism,  big bourgeoisie and landownership have never had so much profit in their transactions while the people and the nation have been standing the crisis on their shoulders.

Playing the fools

As a cake ornament, the opportunist and revisionist acronyms introduce themselves to the electoral farse with their  unconcealable clothing as the court’s jesters.

By praying so that the cadaverous political electoral system does not die, opportunism subscribes their participations in the electoral farse: the old landownership oligarchy democracy of the big bourgeoisie and imperialism. Their rotten arguments on how important is either ‘to use the electoral period for denouncing the “system” or ‘the people only understand  politics as an election’ are good for nothing.

The New Thing

By taking the last election stage when one-third of the electorate has either abstained from voting, voted null or blank, we can affirm that what is new is the growing repudiation not only to the old regional oligarchy politicians but to the whole system as well.

The masses will be showing an active repudiation against those who, once more, raise their stands for promising “ health, education and safety”, a repetitive and false bauble.

The new thing is the organization of people in combative movements and mass confrontations everytime more and more contentious for the direct resolution of their immediate demands, pointing out at the creation of fundamental tools for accomplishing the Democratic Revolution in Brasil: the revolutionary vanguard Party and the basis for the unique front which is the worker-peasant alliance.
