After Bolsonaro’s election and more specifically last month, several acronyms of the false electoral left-wing have lavished an analysis on a military coup in progress. As if it were a second coup, since for them Dilma’s impeachment was a coup concluded with Temer’s election. However, the ongoing military coup was planned by the reactionary High Command of the Armed Forces (ACFA), waging its preventive counter-revolutionary offensive because of the people’s uprisings on June 2013/2014. What is clear nowadays was not clear yesterday, although it existed. And those who are provided of the historical dialectical materialism had already realized the phenomenon before its evident appearance.

The AND Editorial The vestals of the old State, September 2017, exposed the plans for a coup d’Etat while the opportunist forces gathered around the electoral farce that would only corroborate with what the generals have achieved with their handling.  The Editorial affirmed: “ No possible political reform to be approved in the congress could save him from bankruptcy, let alone the military intervention that has been scheduled as the last way out of imperialism …” (here and the next quotings our bold).

One month afterwards AND deepened its denunciation. The military coup situation was systematized as a military crisis due to the development of some facts by which one could, knowing the history of our country as well as the laws of the Brazilian society, analyse concretly the concrete situation and have deeper scientific estimations.

The Editorial Military crisis and the complete failure of the institutions affirmed: “ … general Mourão’s statements on a possible military intervention … show that  … the statements are an expression of the willingness of the authorities and sectors of the Armed Forces. By confirming such acknowledgement, we have the lenient reaction of the Defence Minister and the commander of the Army, and Temer’s aloofness”. And, deepening the exposure of the contents of the military coup, it was stated: “ what one talks about is a military intervention to perform an asepsis in the institutions”.

On March, 2018, when the conditions had already allowed, AND 205 Editorial printed: Military intervention and Coup d’Etat. The statement, stronger, was developed like this: “The federal decree for a military intervention in Rio de Janeiro  … is one more step towards the preventive counter-revolutionary military coup d’Etat to a future and inevitable people’s insurgency that haunts the Washington-Brasilia axis”.

And continues, pointing out the relationship of the “Lava Jato” Operation with the whole situation: “Since the beginning of “Lava Jato” Operation we have confirmed the action of a ‘dead hand’ handling the anti-corruption campaign with the immediate aim to clean the façade of the main State institutions, worn out and demoralized before the  public opinion. And to save the system of the total rejection of the people as the growing electoral refusal – besides the spoiled and blank votes – has certified, changing itself into an open subversion. This has been performed by the Public and Judiciary Ministry, secretely  centralized by a certain section of the ACFA, inspired by the Yankee Embassy and counting on the support of Globo Network”.

Next issue, March 2018, AND pointed out the gradual and enhanced the character of the coup, i. e., its way of operating different from 1964. The militaries have been working silently the planned military intervention which will continue being enlarged until the convenient circumstances emerge … for fulfilling the complete coup d’Etat”, wrote the Editorial: The military coup and the enlarged military intervention. In the same Editorial was also affirmed, as it has been plenty evident only today for the largest part of opportunism, that the situation corresponded to “a Plan of the General Staff”.

AND 208 issue , April 2018, ( a moment in which the opportunism did not say anything in protest against the tutelage and intrusion of the generals in the election) has denounced on its cover page: The counter-revolutionary coup d’Etat on the go! confirming a meeting of the High Command of the Army.

The Editorial of this issue affirmed: “ Having reached a stage of unavoidable putrefaction, the red light of the establishment was switched for the discredit and lack of legitimacy … In this connection, the “Lava Jato” Operation was projected for performing a proper asepsis in the institutions of the old State to save the system of exploitation denominated ‘Democratic System of Law’ … However it lost control because of the seriousness of the structural crisis  of the current bureaucratic capitalism, reaching all spheres of the official policy, aggravating still more the fight for the control of the State machinery among the power groups”.

And more: “Aiming at the failure of the cleansing operation on the eroded institutions of this bourgeois, semicolonial and semifeudal old order …, the reactionaries put in motion their preventive counter-revolucionary coup d’Etat against the inevitable and violent rebellion of masses in view of the increase of the exploitation, inequality and oppression carried out by the system and its old State. Similar to the military coup-oriented intervention, the flames of the people’s uprising will spread all over the country. Those alive at the time will see that!”.

At that moment, in the political fight with the several forces that act in the people’s movements, it was not unusual for those who propagate AND to hear rejections and claims saying it was an anachronism or “ conspiracy theory”. The facts have spoken for themselves.

Afterwards, with the election of Bolsonaro/Morão conformed as an imposition of the vice-president ( thus AND analysed), this newspaper emphasized the tutelage by the generals while some could only see a convergence among them.

The Editorial Who rules the country, February and March, affirms: “ The next days will make clear that Bolsonaro can only play the role of figurehead and even though to what extent and while he is useful [to ACFA]”. And proceeds: “ General Mourão, the one of the statements at the Masonry … has suddenly made way to a moderate and cautious Mourão. Such a transformation can only be conceived as a product of an important orientation, or better, an order”. ( … ) “The military preventive counter-revolutionary coup has been waged quite before the electoral process, being set up in this government ( not its choice) as a product of the circumstances … expressed in the polls of the electoral farce”, the Editoral completed, one of the first Editorials after the government inauguration.

Without any further development in the contents of the other AND Editorials – although it would be interesting to do it to demonstrate the deepness and justness of the dialectical materialist analysis and projections – it is quite clear the power of the science of proletariat handled by this instrument of the people’s struggle.
